My Staking Journey: From NavCoin's Stable Profits to Navio's Private Future

Back in 2018 and 2019, I wrote a couple of posts about getting started with NavCoin, first by exploring how to stake it and then by compiling the core wallet from source. I didn't just write about it and move on; I've been an active participant in the network ever since, and it's been a rewarding journey.
A Rewarding and Stable Journey
For years, I've been staking my NavCoin, and the experience has been nothing but positive. The network has proven to be incredibly stable, and the returns have been consistent and impressive, yielding between 10-20% per annum. In a crypto world often defined by volatility and fleeting projects, NavCoin has been a reliable cornerstone of my portfolio. It's a testament to the strength and dedication of the community and developers.
The Next Evolution: Navio
The journey doesn't end here. In fact, it's about to get much more exciting. The team is currently working on a major relaunch of the chain under a new name: Navio.
This isn't just a rebranding; it's a fundamental evolution of the protocol. Navio is set to become a fully private Proof-of-Stake (PoS) protocol.
A Leap Forward in Privacy
Currently, NavCoin utilizes BLSCT to enable private transactions, but this is
limited to its xNAV token. While a great feature, it's only a glimpse of
what's to come.
With Navio, this privacy technology will be extended to all transactions and even the staking process itself. Imagine a network where your financial activities—both sending/receiving funds and participating in network consensus—are completely private. This brings a level of anonymity for PoS that is comparable to the privacy Monero is famous for in the Proof-of-Work world.
This is a groundbreaking step. Fully private Proof-of-Stake means you can secure the network and earn rewards without ever revealing your holdings or transaction details. It's the realization of a truly private digital currency, and I am eagerly anticipating the launch of Navio and the next chapter in this incredible project.
